Soccer

For the past year or so Katriana has told me that she wants to play soccer. Last August when I saw it offered here on post I signed her up right away. Of course Josef couldn't let Katriana get all of the glory so I signed him up as well. We found some cleats and shin guards and were all set for the big season. Josef was in the Bambino league and Katriana was in the Pee-Wee league. Every week there was a practice day and a game day. Soccer was a big part of our lives for the months of September and October! It was so much fun to watch them play and they had a great time on the field as well. Josef even made a goal or two. Here are some highlights from their first soccer experience:

Josef's team called themselves "Yellow Lightning".

Warming up before the game.....

The warm-up worked.....look at that action!

Josef is very proud of his first trophy.

Katriana had a great soccer coach. His wife actually works with Aaron. He was very motivating and always excited to be there. The kids came up with the team name of "Orange Dragons".

A team picture......only two girls :-)

Katriana got a very nice engraved soccer frame with a team picture in it for the end of the season. It's a great remembrance of her first soccer team.

The Yellow Lightnings and the Orange Dragons both had great teams this year. Everyone always showed up for both practices and games no matter what the weather. Katriana and Josef are already looking forward to playing soccer again next fall. Go team!
