Christmas Tree Fire
The Germans sure know how to turn everything into a celebration! Yesterday our small volunteer fire department collected people's Christmas trees for a small fee. In the evening they hauled the trees down our way into a farmer's field and had a big Christmas tree bonfire complete with gluhwein, sausages and limo. We ventured out to watch the big fire. Christmas trees really burn brightly! The kids thought the sparks shooting into the air looked like fireworks.
