Valentines

Love is in the air........and it is time to make Valentines!!  Since the kids had off on Friday we designated that day for our craft Valentine making day.   You might remember that last year we made lollipop flower Valentines, so this year we came up with something different.

We made some heart blotto designs.   A blotto is where you paint on one half of the heart and then fold it so the paint transfers to the other side so you have a mirror image.

I gathered a bunch of old crayons and melted them to create heart crayons.  They turned out pretty neat.  I put the blotto hearts on to bigger hearts and then glued the crayon heart on to the blotto heart.

Here are the finished Valentines!  All ready to be handed out at school.
