Katriana is having a great time in Brownies this year. She has an absolutely fantastic leader who is giving the girls a wonderful, fun girl scout experience. I can't give Miss Talitha enough kudos for being such a great role model for the girls. Every year the Girl Scouts have "Thinking Day" where each troop is assigned a country and they put on a presentation and have a display of things from that country. The girls also got a lanyard to wear and each country gave them something to put on their lanyard. Katriana's troop was assigned Germany!
Here are most of the girls in Katriana's Brownie troop in front of their Germany display.
They sang this very cute cuckoo clock song and then each girl said something about Germany. Katriana's part in the presentation was talking about dirndles.
The countries that were represented this year were Germany, China, a country in Africa, United States, Spain and another country I have forgotten. Anyway, the presentations were great and then afterwards the girls got to go around to each table to sample food from each country. Katriana actually tried sushi!! She didn't like it but I was proud that she tried it!
Here is Katriana and her friend, Annabelle, looking so cute in their German braids and dirndles.
It was a great Thinking Day!!
