Last week St. Nicholas made a little stop at our house. St. Nicholas is a big tradition in Germany and Gretchen would always come home with a sock full of fruit, nuts and chocolates. St. Nicholas himself would even visit the kids at the Kindergarten. So, in keeping with German tradition, we put our shoes by the door to see if he would stop by.
Sure enough, he came!
