Thanksgiving

The harvest is in and it is time to give thanks for the bounty. Last week Josef's Kindergarten requested donations of fruit, vegetables, nuts, flowers etc. On Friday they loaded up an old wagon with the food and took the kids on a walk to the church in their town of Kutzberg. They put the wagon on display in front of the altar for Thanksgiving services this past weekend.

It amazes me how these small village churches are so ornately decorated! When you walk in you don't expect it to look like this. Josef was proud of the wagon they put on display in the Kutzberg church.

This is Josef and his best friend (and neighbor) Nathaniel. They are such good buddies and they both go to Kindergarten together.

After stopping in the Kutzberg church I couldn't resist stopping and looking in our church here in Kronungen to see the Thanksgiving display in our little village. We really have a beautiful church here. The display looks really neat with how they placed the food in an old wagon wheel as well as on a side altar.

God is great and God is glorious and we thank Him for this wonderful harvest!

WOW! The attention to detail is what makes it so wonderful.

How wonderful that the focus is on giving thanks to God and not on eating turkey. Josef looks so happy. The world is always happier when you have a buddy to share it with.

What clever ideas! I see carrots, apples, potatoes, peppers and ...are those nuts? Also curious what the blue items are - they really add to the display. Happy Harvest!
