Turkey In The Straw

"Turkey in the straw
Turkey in the straw
Roll 'em up and twist 'em up
A high tuck a-haw
And hit 'em up a tune called
Turkey in the Straw"
Josef's preschool class did this very cute turkey project. Each child was sent home with a big paper feather to decorate in any way he wished. We tried to be creative and decorated Josef's feather with pretty leaves we found outside and then added some sparkle on top of them with stickers and jewels. I thought it turned out quite nice.....

His teacher, Mrs. Geiser, made a bulletin board to showcase all of the feathers. Josef was one of the first ones to turn in his feather....

Here are the finished turkeys with all of their beautiful feathers adorning them. The kids were so creative in how they chose to decorate them. Can you find Josef's feather?

Great fun. I like the idea that you used nature's own beautiful objects. Grandma Hedy
