A Visit to the North Pole

We braved the bitter wind and cold and took a trek to the North Pole aka Oshkosh. Every year Menomonie Park has a celebration of lights show where the whole park is decorated with lights and displays. It is really something to see!! Lights in every direction! They really do a fantastic job of putting on this display!

We were all so excited to go see the lights, but we had to bundle up!! It was only 18 degrees outside....

Here come the lights!

There goes Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen. The only one missing was Rudolph, but he has to rest up for his big night of leading the sleigh!

Santa brought his sleigh too! It was very neat to experience where Santa sits when he flies all over the world!

Of course the night wouldn't be complete without seeing Santa himself! After all, he did bring his sleigh and reindeer!! He was nice and cozy in his workshop next to a roaring fire. No matter what we did or said Josef just would NOT crack a smile.

Happy Holidays!

It looks like everyone had a delightful time-even Mr. Josef. What a great Santa the children got to visit, with reindeer and all. I am glad that Gretchen looks so happy and healthy. She must be feeling much better. Christmas is coming way too fast.

Christmas is so fun! Josef is such a serious little guy - just like his father.
